It’s All About The Process
Robert Rauschenberg said,
“You begin with the possibilities of the material”. A piece of art should grow like a living, breathing thing in which the ideas come out of the process.
Process Statement
It all begins with intuition. My current work is in response to painting from intuition. Using various techniques and media, I attack the surface in stages or layers, then respond accordingly. Sometimes I'll enhance an area with bright colors, and sometimes I will mute and edit with white or sand it back to previous layers. At all stages, I'm being true to myself and not over thinking the process.
